Two Missing 11-Year-Old Girls Found Safe

Police have found two 11-year-old girls who ventured off to a San Fernando Valley park at night against their parents' wishes and never returned.

Los Angeles police found Anna Lopez and Ruby Zapata in a nearby apartment around 9 a.m. Friday about 12 hours after they left home without permission to go to Pacoima Park. The families reported the girls missing at 2 a.m. this morning.

The girls were the center of a widespread search by LAPD Foothill Area officers.
