At least five people were injured on Thursday when multiple tornadoes hit the region of eastern Pennsylvania.

Two twisters touched down in Bucks County – felling trees and knocking out power as heavy rain flooded streets and roadways.

According to The Philadelphia Inquirer, PSE&G reported 1,300 without power and PECO had reported approximately 8,000 outages.

Four of the individuals were hurt at an auto dealership and the fifth at a local business. A mobile home park was also damaged by one of the tornadoes.

All injuries were deemed to be non-life-threatening, according to Bensalem Police Public Safety Director Fred Harran.

"I have been doing this for 34 years, I haven’t seen that sort of devastation from a storm," Harran noted.

Images and video footage posted to social media revealed the aftermath of the chaos, with cars flipped, light poles upended and roofs damaged.

One Twitter video showed the inside of Faulkner's Toyota dealership during the storm and another showed collapsed buildings.

The National Weather Service (NWS) issued several severe thunderstorm, tornado and flash flood warnings throughout the day.

Harran assured that authorities would work through the evening to help residents displaced by the storm, restore power and clear roads ahead of morning commutes.

Delaware and New Jersey were also impacted by severe weather, with multiple advisories issued for residents there as well.

Tornado warnings were issued for roughly three-quarters of the Garden State's counties and the "large and dangerous tornado" moved from Bucks County toward Trenton at around 7 p.m. ET.

Fox News reported earlier Thursday that severe weather that wreaked havoc in the Midwest would be moving into the Ohio Valley and Northeast later in the evening – bringing a chance of large hail, damaging winds and tornadoes.
