Texas Baby Shot After Gunman Opens Fire on Mother's Minivan

An 11-month-old baby was shot Sunday night in Dallas after a gunman opened fire on his mother's minivan, MyFOXdfw.com reports.

The shooting reportedly occurred just after midnight in Dallas' southern section. Investigators told the station that the baby was hit in the leg when an unidentified gunman fired at his mother's vehicle several times.

The baby was transported to Baylor Hospital, where his condition remains unknown, the station reports.

The child's mother reportedly described the shooter as a man driving a Dodge Charger.

Authorities found the left driver-side window of the woman's minivan shattered, with two bullet holes found in the driver's door and another in the left sliding door.
