Police: Man caught in act stealing copper from Philadelphia church

A man was caught trying to steal copper pipes from a church in Philadelphia, PA, on Wednesday police say.

The attempted theft happened at around 4am at Saint Mark's Church.

Police found the suspect pretending to sleep on a nearby bench with three copper pipes in his possession.
