Police arrest mom after she allegedly punches son during anger management class

A Kentucky woman was arrested after allegedly punching her son in the face during her anger management class, WDRB.com reports.

Misty Lawson, 30, of Louisville, was taking the class when police say she punched the 10-year-old boy several times in the face and body, according to the station.

A counselor who apparently witnessed the incident reported it to police and Child Protective Services.

Lawson, who is charged with fourth-degree assault, was also arrested last year when she allegedly left a then 9-year-old boy and 12-year-old girl unattended in the backseat of a vehicle. Lawson and then 29-year-old Derek Noel were both charged with wanton endangerment and endangering the welfare of a minor, according to the station.
