Parking Lot Attendant Charged in Rape Outside Philadelphia Eagles Game

Published November 17, 2014

Associated Press

Police have charged a former parking lot attendant with raping a woman outside a Philadelphia Eagles game three years ago.

Philadelphia police Capt. John Darby says DNA links 22-year-old Tiaghgee Daughtry of Tunkhannock, Pa., to the sexual assault reported in October 2008.

A 40-year-old woman told investigators she left her friends during the game to rest on the group's bus. Police say Daughtry, a lot attendant, helped her find the bus and then raped her.

Darby says Daughtry later fled the area. He says police recently matched a DNA sample to Daughtry after he was arrested on unrelated charges in Wyoming County.

Daughtry was charged Thursday with rape, sexual assault and other offenses. It was not immediately clear if he had a lawyer.
