One Killed in Texas Home Invasion

SOUTH HOUSTON, Texas -- A Texas father was killed during a home invasion while his 2-year-old daughter hid under a blanket.

Police say the victim's wife returned home after taking her son to school to find her husband shot dead and her daughter hiding in her bedroom, MyFoxHouston.com reports.

The young girl was not harmed.

Initial investigations suggest the shooting was the result of a robbery attempt. Police described the suspect as a Hispanic male carrying a bookbag. A second suspect was described as a white male with dirty blonde hair, MyFoxHouston.com reports.
