Mystery Surrounds Disappearance of Blind Woman in Detroit

Michigan authorities still have little information on the whereabouts of a blind woman who disappeared without a trace more than a month ago.
Zilphia Craig was last seen by a worker on Dec. 27, leaving her Detroit apartment complex in a cab. No one has seen or heard from her since, which family members say is unusual.
"I pray she’s still alive," Teffani Dupont-Anderson, Craig’s sister-in-law, told MyFoxDetroit. "I don’t know."
Anderson said a cousin visited Craig's apartment and found the place disheveled. There was duct tape in the trash, blood in the bedroom and a blanket that appeared to have been dragged through mud.
"It looked like someone had gone through the apartment," she told the station. "Someone had gone through her important papers."
But investigators say the apartment did not appear to be in poor condition.
"It was not in disarray," Sgt. Eren Stephens, from the Detroit Police Department, told FoxNews.com.
Stephens said that authorities found duct tape, but it was likely used on the woman's air conditioner unit.
She also said that police collected no evidence that would suggest foul play. Craig has not withdrawn any money from her bank account since she went missing, he added.
"At this point we’re treating it like a missing person investigation," she said.
Adding to the family's concern, Craig, has had recent bouts with health problems. The 47-year-old, who is completely blind and diabetic, had a stroke last year.
