Holocaust Book E-mail Controversy in NYC

Published January 13, 2015

A New York City man sparked anger at his son's public school after he mistakenly fired off an e-mail advocating a controversial new book about the Holocaust to parents and teachers, MyFoxNY reports.

Michael Santomauro attached a picture of the book "Debating the Holocaust: A New Look at Both Sides," to an e-mail, which said: "You should read this book! It is rocking my world!" He meant to send it to an online group whose members "debate whether accounts of the Holocaust are exaggerated."

But instead he accidentally sent it to parents and teachers at P.S. 290 on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, where his son is in the third grade and many of the pupils are Jewish.
He apologized for the "total confusion," but many parents are outraged.
