Fake Cops Wanted in Fast-Food Robberies Sought in Rape of Wendy's Worker

A pair of fake police officers accused of robbing Seattle-area fast-food restaurants in disguise appear to have struck again — this time allegedly raping a Wendy's worker.

Investigators say the men flash what appear to be police lights at fast-food employees, then force the workers to empty the restaurants' safes at gunpoint, Q13Fox.com reported.

The suspected crime spree turned uglier over the weekend when, investigators say, the men stopped a Wendy's employee and raped her after learning that she didn't have the key to get them back inside the Lakewood restaurant.

Police say the men handcuffed the woman's boyfriend and put him in the trunk of their car while they sexually assaulted her, according to Q13Fox.com.

"Robbery was already serious enough by itself, but now they've escalated this by sexually assaulting one of the victims and assaulting a second victim," said Tacoma police spokesman Mark Fulghum. "We're anxious to get these guys off the street."

The suspects are still on the loose. Anyone with any information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
