1 Dead, 1 Wounded in Shooting at D.C. Public Works Parking Lot

DEVELOPING: Authorities are investigating a double shooting at a Department of Public Works parking lot in northeast Washington that has left one person dead and another injured, WTTG-TV reports.

Officer Istmania Bonilla, a D.C. Police spokeswoman, said the shooting occurred about 6:15 a.m. at a lot in the 1200 block of W Street.

Bonilla said both victims were taken to a hospital. She said one person is dead, and the other is in stable condition, according to the station.

Bonilla says officials are interviewing witnesses at the scene.
