Strong storms possible for Northern Plains

Scattered strong storms will spread damaging winds and some large hail from the Northern Plains into the Midwest.

Excessive heat warnings remain in effect across the Desert Southwest and interior Southern California.

A weakening Flossie will move along the northern side of Hawaii as a tropical depression, bringing primarily increased surf and locally heavy rain.
