'The shoe' goes viral, becomes the new 'the dress' on Twitter

Is "#theshoe" the new "#thedress?" When Twitter user @totallymendes asked her followers which shade of nail polish went best with her bright pink high-heeled shoe, little did she know that the image would -- as of now -- be retweeted over 5,000 times. The image was posted Wednesday afternoon, and soon the hashtag #theshoe was trending across Twitter. Who knew soliciting for online fashion advice would cause such a stir?
