Missing Relatives

Published January 13, 2015

Fox News

With each day that passes since the tsunami in South Asia, new stories come to light. One that we're covering Friday on “DaySide” is American families turning to private investigators (search) to help find relatives still missing from the disaster.

Thursday, a woman told me how her whole family, frustrated by almost zero communication from the State Department (search) (and/or the relevant embassies in the region), they are thinking of hiring a P.I. to fly over there and start searching the hospitals and morgues. It's grim work, but these families are desperate.

Amid the breaking news of the day, we'll also see if there are further developments in the Andrea Yates (search) case — as I reported today, her convictions have been overturned for drowning her children. This appeals decision opens the way for a new trial, but doesn't necessarily mean there will be one. If news warrants, we'll ask Andrea's lawyer to be on our show.
