Michael Reagan to Speak at GOP Convention

The Democrats had Ron Reagan (search) speaking at their convention in Boston — and now, the Republicans confirm that they've also lined up a member of the Reagan family.

Michael Reagan (search) — the late president's adopted son from his first marriage to actress Jane Wyman — will be addressing the convention that gets under way in New York later this month. He's the host of a nationally syndicated radio talk show.

Ron Reagan — the son of Ronald and Nancy Reagan — appealed for funding for stem-cell research as he addressed the Democrats in Boston. The Bush administration has restricted that research.

Michael Reagan has said the family wasn't surprised that Ron Reagan addressed the Democrats — because he was never a supporter of the GOP.
