Don't Worry...

The terror alert is high. What that means is there's a higher risk something could go wrong in the days, maybe weeks ahead. Something about picking up more chatter -- more noise, that something is up.

So what does that mean? To me, very little.

Look, we all have to watch out. But that doesn't mean we don't venture out. We look, but we don't hide -- that's my approach.

I can't live my life in fear and neither should you.

Certain things require good common sense. But they shouldn't mean uncommon paranoia.

When we stop going to malls, stop flying on planes, stop going to concerts, or movies, parades, or even demonstrations we are saying that we are scared. And we are saying, terrorists, you have scared us.

Believe me, I work in Manhattan. I was at the World Trade Center visiting a contact for breakfast on Sept. 10, 2001.

I know the fickleness of life, the randomness of life and sometimes, the cruelty of life. But I also know something about the fullness of life and the possibilities of life.

I know life is short. I say go long. Just go carefully.
