Trade Voided for Lions' Harrison After Doctors Found Brain Tumor

Philadelphia Eagles doctors discovered a brain tumor while conducting a physical on running back Jerome Harrison, potentially saving his life, ESPN reported Thursday, citing two league sources.

A trade that would have sent Harrison to Philadelphia in exchange for running back Ronnie Brown and a draft pick was voided late Wednesday after Harrison failed the physical.

Sources told ESPN the medical exam, which would not have been conducted without a pending trade, potentially saved the 28-year-old's life.

Harrison is currently being treated for the tumor and could not be reached for comment, according to the report.
