MLB game delayed after fans storm field, get laid out by security Video

If you make the ill-fated decision to run onto a field during a sporting event, you had better be prepared to be laid out.

During a pitching change in the New York Yankees’ 10-5 win over the Seattle Mariners at Yankee Stadium on Wednesday, three people jumped from the stands and onto the right-field grass.

The security guards quickly moved from their positions and sprang into action.

One of the fans ran along the warning track in right field and was pursued by a security guard. The guard looked like an All-Pro safety, hawking down the runner and dropping the runner with an impressive tackle.

In right field, security had hold of a shirtless fan but was struggling to subdue him. So the security guard suplexed the obstreperous fan to the ground and then got help in pinning him there.

The other fan, who was a little closer to the foul line than the others, resisted being detained by the security guards, as it took two of them to cuff the individual. As he was being guided off the field, his pants appeared to be falling down.

Eventually, more security guards were dispatched to remove the intruders from the field, and play resumed.

After play resumed, the Yankees completed their second consecutive comeback win over the Mariners, rallying from an early three-run deficit to pull away for a 10-5 victory.

Center fielder Trent Grisham clobbered two home runs and drove in four runs in the win. It was the ninth multihomer game of his career.

The loss for the Mariners was their sixth straight , and they have now lost 15 of their last 20 games.

The Yankees (68-52) will look to complete the three-game sweep when they play the Mariners (56-65) at 1:35 p.m. ET on Thursday.
