NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The Predators have promoted Lane Lambert from coaching their top AHL affiliate in Milwaukee to being coach Barry Trotz's assistant in Nashville.

General manager David Poile announced the move Thursday.

Lambert led Milwaukee to a 178-118-37 record between 2007 and 2011, and the Admirals posted the highest point total in the AHL's Western Conference this season despite having 10 players recalled by Nashville. On Nashville's current roster, 11 Predators once played for Lambert in Milwaukee.

The Predators also re-signed goaltending coach Mitch Korn. Korn has been with the Predators since their inaugural season working with goaltenders such as Pekka Rinne, a Vezina Trophy finalist this year.
