The Pittsburgh Pirates announced on Tuesday that all of the club's coaching staff from this past season will return next year.

Manager Clint Hurdle, batting coach Gregg Ritchie, pitching coach Ray Searage, first base coach Luis Silverio, third base coach Nick Leyva, bench coach Jeff Banister, bullpen coach Euclides Rojas and coach Mark Strittmatter have all agreed to terms for the 2012 campaign.

The Bucs made a surprise run up the standings in the NL Central, tying for first place on July 15, then taking a half-game lead on July 18-19 and tying again for the top spot on July 24-25 before fading badly.

A 5-17 stretch from July 20-August 12 dropped the Pirates into fourth place, where they stayed for the remainder of the season, ending with a 72-90 mark.

It was the 19th straight year Pittsburgh had finished with a losing record.
