Phillies game vs. Mets rained out

Friday night's series opener between the champion Philadelphia Phillies and New York Mets at Citi Field has been postponed due to rain.

It will be made up as part of a day-night doubleheader on Saturday, with the first game scheduled for 1:10 p.m (et) and the second game set for 7:10 p.m.

In addition, Sunday's start time has been pushed back to 2:10 p.m.

Cole Hamels (14-9) will pitch for the Phillies in Saturday's day game and Joe Blanton (1-2) will take the mound in the nightcap. The Mets will go with R.A. Dickey (8-13) in the opener and Dillon Gee (12-6) in the second contest.
