Wimbledon runner-up Andy Murray was an easy second-round winner Tuesday at the London Olympics tennis event.

The third-seeded British favorite handled Finnish veteran Jarkko Nieminen 6-2, 6-4 on the famed Centre Court at the All England Club. Murray lost to Swiss great Roger Federer in the Wimbledon final here earlier this month.

Former Australian Open runner-up Marcos Baghdatis upset 16th-seeded Frenchman Richard Gasquet 6-4, 6-4, as the Cypriot Baghdatis will battle Murray in his next outing.

Rain is currently falling and the roof is closed on Centre Court, where reigning Aussie and U.S. Open champion Novak Djokovic will take on three-time Wimbledon runner-up and fellow former No. 1 Andy Roddick of the United States. The Serbian Djokovic was an Olympic bronze medalist in Beijing four years ago.
