Mark Mouland of Wales posted a four-under 68 on Saturday to come from behind and win the Open de Portugal.
Mouland finished at nine-under 207 and earned his first European Senior Tour title by a single stroke at Belas Clube de Campo. He won two times during his European Tour career, but his last victory came all the way back at the 1988 Dutch Open.
Second-round leader Mike Cunning shot a one-over 73 and finished second at minus-eight. Gary Wolstenholme carded a two-under 70, but let the tournament go late.
Mouland reached nine-under par with a birdie at the par-five 15th. Cunning was also nine-under thanks to a bogey at the same hole, but Wolstenholme was in front at minus-10.
Cunning was the first to fall after a bogey at the 16th dropped him to eight- under. Wolstenholme double-bogeyed the par-three 17th to fall one behind Mouland, who made pars at his last three holes.
Wolstenholme needed a birdie at the last to force a potential playoff, but he bogeyed and gave Mouland his first win in 23 years.
Ian Woosnam shot a one-under 71 and tied for fourth with Jerry Bruner, who carded a two-over 74 on Saturday. The pair finished at six-under 210.
David J. Russell (71), John Gould (71), Roger Chapman (72), Doug Johnson (73), Gordon Brand, Jr. (73), Noel Ratcliffe (73) and Andrew Sherborne (73) shared sixth at minus-five.
