Philadelphia Eagles backup quarterback to-day with a hamstring strain.

Young was hurt during Thursday's 24-14 preseason win over the Jets when he pulled up lame while scrambling on the right side late in the second quarter. Michael Vick's backup was untouched on the play, throwing an incomplete pass.

After hobbling to the sideline, Young was worked on by trainers who targeted the quarterback's right leg.

An MRI performed on Friday confirmed that Young has a right hamstring strain.

Young completed 15-of-23 passes for 193 yards on Thursday. He threw a 16-yard touchdown pass to Chad Hall in the first quarter.

The former Titan signed a one-year contract to play behind Vick, who sat out the final preseason game along with most of the starters for both teams.
