Eagles' Dixon to miss rest of season; Cole, Peters hurt

Published November 20, 2014

Philadelphia Eagles reserve defensive tackle Antonio Dixon is expected to miss the remainder of the season because of a torn triceps he suffered in Sunday's game against San Francisco.

The Eagles, who dropped to 1-3 after the 24-23 loss, also lost defensive end Trent Cole and offensive tackle Jason Peters to injuries that head coach Andy Reid termed "fairly significant" on Monday.

Cole has a calf strain and Peters has a hamstring issue. Reid said both starters will be further evaluated during the next few days.

Peters, a four-time Pro Bowl selection, has been the Eagles' left tackle since he was acquired from Buffalo in 2009. Cole, a two-time Pro Bowl pick, has three sacks this season.
