WikiLeaks announced Tuesday it is offering a $20,000 reward for information that leads to a conviction in the murder case of Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich.

Rich, 27, was killed last month in Washington. Police found Rich suffering from several bullet wounds, but still conscious and breathing at the time. He was transported to a hospital where he later died.

According to Fox 5 DC, authorities believe his murder might have been the result of a robbery. There were no witnesses in his murder.

Police sources told the station that they don’t have a suspect they are searching for in Rich’s murder. Authorities said the lack of witnesses and suspects have helped fueled online conspiracy theories about the man’s murder.

Authorities denied that Rich’s death has anything to do with WikiLeaks’ email dump of DNC files, which occurred 12 days after his death. Rich was the DNC’s director of voter expansion.

"At this time, we don't have any information to suggest that the case is any way connected with his work at the DNC,” D.C. Police Assistant Chief Peter Newsham said.

The WikiLeaks reward adds to the $25,000 reward already issued by Washington, D.C. police.

“We're very pleased if anyone is going to assist us with giving reward money," Newsham added.
