Published December 24, 2015

Fox News

Obtained by Fox, this e-mail was sent to all White House staff. There will will be pooled print and TV coverage of this ceremony. The White House e-mail begins below. For those curious, the acronyms translate as follows: WHO = Office of the White House, OPD = Office of Policy Development (the Domestic Policy Council and National Economic Council), OVP = Office of the Vice President. (I had to call about what OPD meant).

Moment of Silence to be Observed on Friday, September 11th at 8:46 a.m.

Tomorrow, to mark the 8th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on America, all White House staff will observe a moment of silence at 8:46 am EDT - the time that the first airplane struck the World Trade Center. Vice President Biden and Dr. Biden will travel to New York.

All WHO, OPD, OVP and Residence staff are invited to gather with the President and First Lady on the South Lawn for the moment of silence. Those who are unable to attend may observe the moment in their own workspace.

For those joining us, we will gather near the South Portico on the South Lawn no later than 8:40am. Please use the southwest gate off West Executive Drive to access the South Lawn.
