Vice President Biden will travel to Georgia on Friday to survey the flood damage

The White House has announced that Vice President Biden will travel to Georgia on Friday to view the damage from the recent flooding in the state, that has cost the life of at least nine individuals. He will also visit with families affected by the floods.

During his trip to Georgia, Mr. Biden will also discuss the federal government's commitment to helping the region.  Earlier today, President Obama  signed a disaster declaration for the Georgia and ordered federal aid to supplement the state and local recovery efforts in the areas struck by severe storms and flooding.
