Secret Service agents investigating a suspicious vehicle near the White House on Wednesday have detained the driver for questioning, the U.S. Secret Service said.

Various entrances and streets in northwest Washington, D.C., were temporarily closed as investigators worked, the Secret Service said.

According to FOX5 DC, a van drove through a barricade at Connecticut Avenue and H Street around 6:30 a.m., prompting a police response. 

No injuries were immediately reported.
