Republicans Question Reid Earmarks for Campaign Supporters

Published December 23, 2015

Fox News

Republicans reportedly are challenging Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid over earmarks he obtained for a company with ties to his campaign.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that a group led by Danny Tarkanian, a former GOP Senate candidate, released a report questioning two earmarks worth more than $3 million which Reid apparently arranged for contractor Arcata Associates.

The company is owned by the Wong family in Las Vegas -- family members have donated more than $138,000 to Reid and Democratic groups since 2000, according to the report.

President Tim Wong is also on a Reid steering committee, the Review-Journal reported.
