President Obama still working on tonight's speech

Published December 24, 2015

Fox News

White House officials tell Fox President Obama is still editing, by hand, his health care speech. He worked on the latest draft aboard Air Force One as he flew to New York to attend the memorial service for former CBS anchorman Walter Cronkite.

The White House will also post on its website a montage of interviews with Americans that Obama will highlight in his speech tonight. Officials did not specify how many of those who will be mentioned in Obama's speech will appear in the web video. The White House new media team shot the interviews.

The Americans whose health care stories - dealing with illnesses and lack of insurance coverage or insufficient coverage - will be seated with First Lady Michelle Obama in her ceremonial box tonight in the House chamber.

The White House will release the video and the names of the First Lady's guests between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. today.
