NYC Mayor says plane fiasco is history

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg says the issue over the controversial Air Force One Manhattan photo op is a thing of the past.

Following a meeting at the White House with President Obama to discuss education reform, Mr. Bloomberg was asked if he was satisfied with the response from the Obama administration over the fiasco.

"Oh, I don't know," he replied, "the planes are long gone in history. We gotta get worrying about things-- kids are much more important than that kind of stuff."

But the White House doesn't consider it water under the bridge. Press Secretary Robert Gibbs hinted to reporters that results of a review over the snafu are to be released on Friday.

The photo was taken during, what officials described as, a flight-training mission to update the file photos on-hand of the president's 747 over national landmarks. Louis Caldera, Director of the White House Military office claimed responsibility for approving the flight mission.

Newt Gingrich and Al Sharpton also attended the meeting on education with the President and Education Secretary Arne Duncan.
