Nary a Republican First Lady at Madame Tussauds

Published December 24, 2015

Fox News

Is Madame Tussauds -- the famous wax figure museum -- dissing GOP first ladies?

That's what the Washington Times says when amid the hoopla surrounding the unveiling of Michelle Obama's new wax figure in its downtown Washington, DC location Tuesday, they noticed Madame Tussauds didn't have a Republican first lady in sight.

Not Barbara or Laura Bush, not Nancy Reagan, or even Betty Ford.

In their collection they do have Hillary Rodham Clinton and, not one, but two gloved Jackie Kennedys, the paper said.

The museum's excuse, according to the Times, was that was what the people voted for.

"There have not been enough guest requests," the Times quoted the museum's marketing director Rosemary Del Prado as saying.

The museum asks visitors to vote on who they'd like to see exhibited, said the paper.
