The mystery is over. President Obama has quit smoking, but admits he succumbs to his habit now and again.Speaking to reporters at his fourth news conference Tuesday, Mr. Obama conceded that his smoking (or non-smoking habits) were an "interesting human interest story" when he took on a personal question about his habit.

"Look, I've said before that as a former smoker I constantly struggle with it. Have I fallen off the wagon sometimes? Yes," he said.

The president added that he is not a daily smoker and that he does not smoke in front of his kids or family. "I would say that I am 95 percent cured. But there are times where I mess up," he added.

Mr. Obama had spoken about the evils of smoking twice in as many weeks, but had failed on those occasions to mention his own use and experience. Tuesday was the first time he publically addressed his struggle with tobacco since taking office on January 20th.
