Sources tell Fox that the president is trying to "sell" liberals in the House on his potential acceptance of tax rates across the board and for the wealthy.

I'm told that the president wants this done this week, potentially marrying the across the board tax cuts to an extension of unemployment insurance.

The president's targets for negotiating are McConnell in the Senate and the House crowd, who will scream bloody murder.

Moreover, I'm told they are debating the "refundability" of taxes.

A senior House aide told me to expect things "to accelerate quickly on Monday."

So far, no indication of another pow-wow between the Gang of Four-Lew-Geithner crowd. But they did not rule out meeting tomorrow.
