Krauthammer: Trump's proposal is 'truly, deeply bigoted'

Charles Krauthammer told viewers Tuesday on “Special Report with Bret Baier” that Donald Trump's call for a shutdown of Muslim immigration in the U.S is “truly, deeply bigoted.”

“It is indefensible,” said Krauthammer, a syndicated columnist and Fox News contributor. “Even if you put all that aside, which you would not but if you wanted to, and just talk about the practicality of this.”

Krauthammer was cynical of Trump’s suggestion to have customs officers check passengers’ religion.

“So here is the guy that Trump is saying is bound to come out and to kill people innocently but he is going to be held to a George Washington cherry tree standard of not telling a lie to an infidel immigration officer.”
