The House Ethics Adjudicatory Subcommittee meets at 1:00 p.m. ET to reveal the detailed allegations of wrongdoing against embattled former House Ways and Means Chairman Charlie Rangel, D-N.Y. Rangel has allegedly failed to disclose hundreds of thousands of dollars in income and assets, accepted four rent-controlled New York City apartments at steeply discounted rates, and used Congressional stationary to fundraise for a City College of New York school that bears his name.

Will Judge Susan Bolton’s partial injunction of the controversial Arizona illegal immigration law serve as a catalyst to get a comprehensive immigration plan through Congress? Members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus hope so and will take to the mics at 2:00 p.m. ET to explain why Judge Bolton made the right call and why the legislature should modify the nation’s immigration laws.

A small business bill, which has several bipartisan planks, is expected to die a quiet death on the Senate floor in the morning. A dispute over allowing amendments to the legislation is expected to scuttle the measure.

A Senate Armed Services subcommittee examines contract mismanagement at Arlington National Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. ET. The cemetery’s former superintendent John Metzler and deputy superintendent Thurman Higginbotham have been invited to explain why the facility misplaced the bodies and headstones of fallen soldiers.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., holds her week in review press conference at 11:00 a.m. ET. House Minority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio, follows with a media availability at 11:45 a.m. ET. Both leaders will be laying out their party’s campaign agenda ahead of the August recess.
