Cheers and Tears: A Look Inside House Chamber as Boehner Elected Speaker

John Boehner's wife was seen wiping back a tear at her seat in the House Chamber's balcony as her husband was escorted to the dais, shaking hands with members from both sides of the aisle.

Boehner first went to the Democratic side to shake hands.

A gigantic cheer went up when Boehner crossed to the GOP side of the chamber.

Boehner's daughters Lindsay and Tricia could be seen dotting away tears with a Kleanex as Pelosi presented Boehner the gavel.
