Biden Reports for Jury Duty in Delaware

WILMINGTON, Del. -- Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan isn't the only U.S. official called to fulfill his civic duty. Vice President Joe Biden reported for jury duty Monday morning at the New Castle County courthouse after receiving a jury summons, aides told Fox News.

No word on whether he'll actually be chosen to sit in on a trial.

Last week, Kagan was reportedly spotted at Washington, D.C., Superior Court awaiting a call to serve.

Kagan, who was sworn in as the fourth woman in the Supreme Court's history in August, was released at 2:19 pm ET Thursday, ABC News reported, and was seen talking with a group of people who recognized her. Kagan reportedly left the courthouse without collecting her $5 juror fee.
