NFL fashionistas out there have made the pregame fit, as the kids call it, into something of a spectator event because media has started sharing and commenting on what outfit players wear to their games. And the Week 1 best-dressed goes to Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Landon Robinson.

Robinson didn't wear the latest suit on Sunday.

Or the coolest jeans.

And while Detroit Lions linebacker Derrick Barnes showed up in a Spider-Man outfit on Sunday, he still didn't come close to Robinson's fit.

Landon Robinson, a Naval Academy graduate and former Navy defensive tackle, showed up to the game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in his full dress uniform.

This wasn't a coincidence or a flex.

This was an NFL player who is still obligated to serve as a military officer per his Navy Academy commitment wearing his service uniform on the day all of the NFL's Sunday games paid tribute to the 25th anniversary of 9/11.

Robinson graduated in May 2026 with a degree in cyber operations and was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Marine Corps. Under a provision allowing a limited number of service-academy athletes to pursue professional sports, Robinson can play for Cincinnati while serving in the reserves.

The Bengals drafted Robinson in the seventh round of the April draft, making him their first service-academy selection since 1968.

Prior to being drafted, Robinson told the Bengals he is on a 10-year reserve commitment that will not interrupt his football career, although he could return to active duty later.

Robinson, a 6-foot, 295-pounder, has said the Naval Academy shaped his leadership, discipline and work ethic. Those are qualities he believes helped him compete for and win a roster spot despite being undersized.

"The Naval Academy, it’s a leadership laboratory," Robinson said after the draft.

It should be noted that Robinson was one of the seven players the Bengals designated as inactive for Sunday's game.

That does not matter.

The fact the late-round, undersized guy is on the 53-man roster the first week of the season is an incredible achievement.

It is worthy of getting dressed up for.
