DANA PERINO: I Like Rahm and Wish Him Well

I like Rahm. I like him a lot.

I remember when I was asked to take over as the acting White House press secretary when Tony Snow had to undergo surgery and I got a few phone calls of encouragement. The first one was from Rep. Rahm Emanuel. We'd not met before that.

He said he remembered when Dee Dee Myers was President Clinton's press secretary and how well she did and for me to have confidence and to knock 'em dead. It was a kind gesture -- and he went out of his way to make it.

I wish him the best.
