Who Will Have Sex on the First Date? Find Out With This Question

The online dating site OKCupid frequently crunches numbers and posts the fascinating results on its blog. Now, just in time for Valentine’s Day, they’ve posted this doozy.

Correlating the answers to various questions on online dating profiles, they found that one question—and one question only—correlated with a dater’s willingness to have sex on the first date, for both men and women. And that question was: “Do you like the taste of beer?”

As the site itself says, “Beer-lovers are 60 percent more likely to be ok with sleeping with someone they’ve just met.”

We’d bet they’re also more likely to drink too much beer and get a little sloppy, but who are we to judge?

Besides, the poll comes bearing one more scary piece of information. While an affirmative to the beer question was the only one with any correlation with women, for men, there were a whole passel of others, including: “In a certain light, wouldn’t nuclear war be exciting?”

A full 83 percent of men who answered in the affirmative would be willing to get jiggy on Date #1. If they could get a date, that is.
