Mexican 'taquero' creates quirky Trump taco in honor of GOP candidate

Don Beto or Tío Beto, as he’s often known, is renowned taquero in Cuauhtémoc, in the Mexican state of Chihuahua. His most recent culinary invention is a reaction to the U.S. Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump – and his incendiary comments regarding Mexicans.

Don Beto calls his creation the “Trump Taco,” and he described it to El Diario as "a typical politician taco, a lot of tongue and only a little brain – and those are mad cow brains.”

He added, "It has some pork mouth because [Trump] talks real ugly."

This is not the taquero’s first dish honoring a public figure or politician. His menu also offers tacos named after Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto, that he says features seagull meat; another named after the singer Ninel Conde, which shows a lot of leg meat and skin – chicharrón, at least, which is fried pork rind; and a Barack Obama, that comes in a blue corn tortilla.

The restaurant owner told El Diario his menu is all in good fun, and it hasn’t hurt his business too much to poke fun at people in the news.
