The Correct Way to Unclog a Drain With Vinegar and Baking Soda Video

When a sink drain gets clogged, your first thought might be to call a plumber or use a liquid clog remover.

Before you do, "Accidental Housewife" Julie Edelman shares an easy method for unclogging it yourself — using budget-friendly and natural ingredients.

Here's what you'll need:

  • 1/2 cup baking soda
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • Pot of boiling water

Step 1: Pour baking soda down drain.

Step 2: Pour vinegar down drain and wait for bubbling to stop. (If it doesn't bubble, you may need a fresh box of baking powder)

Step 3: Pour a whole kettle of hot water down drain.

Check out the video above to see how it works.
