A California teen was rushed to the hospital after being accidentally stabbed by a javelin, myFOXla.com reported.

A group of boys found the javelin in the front bushes of Westmont Park Community Center in Pomona, Calif., on Sunday. Witnesses told authorities just as the boys threw the javelin, the victim turned the corner of a building and was stabbed.

The javelin protruded through the right side of the teen’s stomach, and he grabbed the spear with two hands to pull it out, one witness said.

The 15-year-old boy was rushed to the hospital by Los Angeles County Fire Officials. He’s in stable condition.
