A terminally ill man says his one wish is to find a loving home for his dogs before he dies. Bobby Lynn Brockman, whose prostate cancer was in remission for 11 months before returning in his mouth and bones, says he considers his dogs to be children.

“They adopted me more than I adopted them,” Brockman, of Dayon, Texas, told Fox 26 Houston.

Brockman had his tongue removed and underwent 110 radiation treatments in addition to 12 rounds of chemotherapy before doctors told him there was nothing else they could do.

“They sent me home with pain medication and gave me a hospital bed,” he told Fox 26 Houston.

Now his mission is to find a home for his three small dogs, and four larger dogs, one of which just had puppies.

“They will be here till I die,” he said. “It would mean everything in the world to know they’re going to be happy and have someone love them and take care of them.”

Adopt a Rescued Friend has stepped in to help Brockman at least find a foster home for the dogs and puppies.
