Dear Yvonne,

My husband is a pot smoker. We want to conceive, and are having trouble doing so, but he refuses to believe that his pot is the problem. I was hoping you could give me the low-down to pass along to him.

-- Sondra

Dear Sondra, When it comes to heavy pot smokers, their sperm has been found to swim too fast too early. Researchers speculate that is because sperm contain cannabinoid receptors, making them hyper when exposed to pot, and unable to get the job done. In behaving abnormally, they burn out before making it to the egg. The volume of seminal fluid and sperm count are also decreased in males who smoke a lot of pot.
