Have you really taken a moment to consider what's inside your coffee?
Well, Wired.com has and broke it down in a clever animated video.
Apparently more than 98 percent of each cup of coffee is comprised of the water used to brew it. But according to the video, "some of the compounds in coffee would be pretty repulsive if they were present in higher concentrations."
These include 2-ethylphenol, which is also happens to be a pheromone in cockroaches. But then there's the good stuff, like trigonelline, which helps fend off the bacteria that creates cavities and 3,5 dicaffeoylquinic acid, the antioxidant that helps your brain stay healthy.
Of course, this isn't without all that delicious sugar and milk.
