We are celebrating with the seasonal Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale.
The official description says:
"First brewed in 1981, Celebration Ale is one of the earliest examples of an American-style IPA and one of the few hop-forward holiday beers. Famous for its intense citrus and pine aromas, Celebration is bold and intense, featuring Cascade, Centennial and Chinook hops — honoring everything we have at Sierra Nevada."
The taste test says:
If you consider yourself a “hop-head” who loves a good IPA, you don’t want to miss the annual return of the Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale. With 6.8 percent alcohol by volume, the Celebration delivers an exceptionally rich taste. Pouring out as a deep copper color, the aroma gives a preview to the bold, herbal hop flavor to come. Upon tasting, the bitterness is deliciously sharp with mint and grapefruit flavors. The malts add a subtle touch of toasted grain and caramel, complementing but not subduing the heavy hop character of this delicious medium-bodied brew. Worth the celebration and perfect for those cold winter nights paired with turkey or roasted vegetables. It is available in 6-packs, 12-packs and on draft.
