The smoothest watermelon you'll ever see. (YouTube/Mark Rober)

Looking to wow your friends with a juicy trick over Labor Day Weekend?

Mark Rober, a former NASA engineer, explains how to skin a watermelon in a step-by-step viral video.

The stunt involves two similarly sized watermelons—but it can be done with melons of any shape—and some pretty confident knife skills. First, Rober carefully cuts away the watermelon’s rind. Then a Brillo pad scuffs and buffs excess edges to form a perfectly smooth, giant pink egg of watermelon flesh.

A second watermelon is hollowed out and used as the shell. Viola! You have a cool shell that easily comes apart to put over your melon, sans rind.

The video, posted on Monday, has already racked up over 2.5 million YouTube views.

We’re guessing a lot of people will buying a couple watermelons this weekend to try this out.
